Baby Massage course-2nd May

Baby Massage is relaxing for both baby and parent. Nurture your baby by learning and practicing massage strokes specifically for your baby. The sessions are an ideal time for quality bonding and massage may also help with colic, constipation, restlessness and may improve sleep patten. All classes are taught in an extremely relaxed and easy fashion and always finished with tea and biscuits so you can chat and get to know others in the group.

The course starts next week on Wednesday 2nd May and then continues on 9th, 16th, 30th May and 6th June (break on 23rd May) at 1.15-2.30pm.

The cost is £38 (concession available), which includes soft oil for massage, handouts so you can practice at home and refreshments.

Dads-To-Be course-Thurs 26th Apr

A 4 week, midwife-led course for expectant dads with lots of discussion, practical advice and workshop activities

This is an invaluable practical course for men who would like to build their confidence around early parenting skills. The main topics are detailed below but the sessions will be tailored to the dads-to-be attending and they will be asked what they want and do not want to be covered.

Session 1 : Supporting your partner during labour and birth

Session 2 : Baby care – handling, clothing, dressing & nappy changing. Life with a baby

Session 3 : Baby bathing, coping with crying, sleeping, playing

Session 4 : Emotional issues including postnatal depression

7-9pm Thursdays 26th April, 3rd, 10th and 17th May
