Come join us to meet Laura and other mums to chat, raise anything that’s on your mind and to take part in regular activities.  We ran this group previously and it was a huge success and have received funding to allow the group to run on a donation basis so not a costly activity to take part in.

This is a drop-in session (not a class) so no need to book just come along and meet new people and their new babies!

A practical, interactive workshop for parents-to-be

Information, encouragement and support to help pregnant women and partners get ready to feed their new baby.  Increase knowledge, find answers to questions and allay worries

Through participative exercises and discussion, participants will be able to increase their understanding of breastfeeding and explore their own expectations, attitudes and feelings about breastfeeding their baby.

Any pregnant women are welcome to attend.  The workshop is designed to include information relevant to partners too, but women are welcome to attend without a partner.

The aims of the works are:

  • to see breastfeeding as normal and achievable
  • to increase understanding of its range of benefits
  • to prepare for early breastfeeding as part of birth planning
  • to discuss any questions or worries and
  • to be clear where to look for further support. 

 

Cost per person: £12 (full rate)  £9 (mid conc)  £6 (conc)
