We are pleased to welcome Craniosacral Therapist Keith Farvis who will be working from the centre on Wednesday mornings. Please contact Keith directly for more details and to make bookings.

Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle form of body based therapy which is ideally suited for the pregnant woman and the newborn baby. It works directly with the body’s own innate ability to move towards optimum health and functioning. It is helpful for the mother preparing for birth and is probably the treatment of choice for the newborn, to help ease out any consequences of a less than ideal birth.

For more information, see the “Mothers and Babies” link on my website
http://www.keithfarvis.co.uk/ or contact me on 0131 447 8292 or email
keith@keithfarvis.co.uk

I offer babies up to 3 months old one treatment for £10, any other treatments are £30.

Fancy redirecting some Treasury cash from the taxman to the Pregnancy and Parents Centre?

If you have generously given money to the centre in the past and you are/were a UK tax payer, you could help us again, at no extra cost to you, by filling out a Gift Aid declaration form.

This government scheme enables the centre to claim back 20p on every pound donated to the centre in the past 6 years by basic and higher rate UK tax payers, and, if all possible donors sign up, it could help us collect a vital windfall to fund our work.

However we can only do this if we collect written consent from each donor to say that we can claim back the tax paid on their generous contributions.

If you have donated money to the centre in the past and would like to receive a Gift Aid declaration form to help us reclaim that tax please contact the Pregnancy and Parents Centre at 10 Lower Gilmore Place, Edinburgh EH3 9NY, by calling (0131) 229-3667 or sending an email to info@pregnancyandparents.org.uk

Thanks for signing up and making your donation count twice!

We help women and families through pregnancy and the early years of parenthood and, although we give lots of information, care and support on labour and birth, we are not a birthing centre. It had been found that some people did not realise the full services the centre provides and we thought that a change of name would help with this. So welcome to the Pregnancy and Parents Centre! N.B. Cheques are still to be made out to the Birth Resource Centre

Welcome also to our new website. Like many things at the PPC, it’s maintained and developed mainly by volunteers. We hope information will be easier to find on the new site, but it is still very much a work in progress. Suggestions for improvements and changes are most welcome.
