Our welcoming centre is easily reached on foot, by bike or bus and we are located close to the famous "Pleasance"

General info about our centre: 

• Our centre has a small area for buggies but at busier times we may ask you to fold them down.  

• We have wheelchair accessibility to both group rooms which leads into a wheelchair/disabled accessible toilet. Please reach out to us in advance of visiting and we will ensure we can help you in any way you need.  

• We have baby changing stations available in the centre.

If arriving by bike:
There are numerous bike locking racks situated along Pleasance and St Leonards Street. We encourage you to secure your bikes in these public spaces rather than use the railings outside of the centre.  Leaving your bike outside our centre is at the owner’s risk.

 

If arriving by bus:

The closest bus stops and the bus numbers are detailed below but please always refer to LRT in advance for any changes:
 

• East Causewayside - bus number 14

• Surgeon’s Hall - bus numbers: 7, 31, 37, 47, 47B, N31, X31, X62  *

If arriving by car:
There is no private parking at the PPC, but the surrounding streets have paid on street parking facilities.  Permit parking (zone 7) is also in place in the same streets.  Restrictions are in place between 8.30am - 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday and 12.30pm - 6.30pm on Sundays on some adjacent streets but  ends at 5.30pm in others. We encourage you to check local signs so you do not incur a parking fine.  This information is up to date at time of writing and liable to changes by the council. 

 

There is also a private car park on St Leonards Street  - 0131 556 1108.  The parking charges change regularly so please check with Easi-Park Edinburgh (number above).  This parking lot is a three minute walk to the PPC.

 

If you are dropping off at the PPC (for birth pools, Tens or your family are attending a group) there is a small layby directly outside the entrance to the centre. This has parking restrictions however our families often use this as a drop off point. If staff are available, we can help you with unloading birth pools, buggies etc. Please call us or pop your head into the entrance of the centre.
