Baby First Aid Workshop (Online)

What is the PPC Online Baby First Aid Workshop?

We recognise how valuable basic first aid knowledge is as a parent and in life generally. Our Baby First Aid session is a non-certificated workshop aiming to give confidence to parents in dealing with common childhood emergencies.

At present the session is being delivered over Zoom. The workshop is facilitated live by Liz Foster who has a background in health care.

The workshop uses demonstrations, videos, quizzes and class discussions. The course is hands on and participants are asked to make a ‘towel baby’ or bring a soft toy to the class to practice procedures such as CPR and choking.

What other parents have said about our Baby & Child First Aid Course

“I think the course was very well structured. It was a very good idea to combine videos with further explanations on each topic. It made it easy to follow and we all had a chance to ask questions. Topics covered were spot on and it is certainly a good way to reassure first time parents/carers and boost their confidence.”

“Clear and concise teaching. A very warm manner with a friendly teacher who made all questions seem valid and no query too small.”

“Really good baby first aid course with Liz via Zoom. So much was covered in the session and clearly explained. We were given time to participate and ask any questions.”

“I feel a lot more confident as a first time parent now. I think all new parents should take this course! So much emphasis is placed on pregnancy and labour, more courses like this are needed to focus on how to actually look after your child once you are past pregnancy.”
